I use this product on a daily basis. I recommend Locktite when putting it together. Very smooth and I get a great workout on it. Though it is very awkward to move unassembled. The only major downfall is the heart rate monitors are not that accurate.

THIS IS TRULY A WONDERFUL MACHINE!! It is very very sturdy, built to last! Plus, their warranty is superb! Very easy to put together, my hubby had it together in about 2 hrs. The only thing I would change would be the user infomration has to be redone everytime you have a different user. So, we have 4 people in our house using it, and each time we have to change the age, weight, etc. BUT, other than this, it is wonderful!

So, here is my advice if you are looking for a well made, solid feeling, quality elliptical. Buy this. Seriously, I am the guy who researches everything about various makes and models before he buys. I checked out and road tested Sole against makes like Spirit, Nordic,Life Fitness, Vision Fitness, and a few more in the price range of [$].I tried most of these and it came down to Sole and Spirit (XE200).What tipped the scales in favor of Sole E55 were the following.1. The most important thing when buying an elliptical is the warranty and customer service.The 'E55'has a great 5 year parts and electronics, 2 yr labor warranty,and lifetime on the frame, trust me, this is very very good in the industry.They have confidence in their product.2.The tubular steel frame is upgraded compared to others and of excellent quality.3.The stride length is full at 20' and not choppy in it's feel, whether you are 5'4 or 6'.4. Nice extras like the heart strap monitor,easy to read console, i-pod station and built in speakers.It may sound like I work for Sole or something, I don't, I'm just happy with the product I have purchased. Rest assured you'll be happy with your purchase as well. My helpful hint from when you get the boxed elliptical home is this. Unbox the elliptical in your garage, and carry piece by piece to the room of your choice.Your wife/husband and drywall will thank you. Your will need two strong guys to lift the flywheel and frame anywhere. A tip for carrying, one guy takes a wheel on one shoulder, and the other guy takes the other wheel.That will become clear when you try to move this heavy beast. When you get everything laid out and sit down with this, get an extra pair of hands to help. Total time to put together is approx 1.5-2 hours. Becareful with the shoulder plastic coverings. Left side, three holes in inside, Right side three holes on outside. Will make sense as you get to this part of the set-up.Long winded review I know, but your buying a good product.Enjoy.

Very easy setup (about 2 hours from unloading and unpacking to initial use) and built pretty sound. Smooth operation and no "squeaky" or "creaking" sounds from lighter duty machines. Better than some commercial grade equipment I've used. I try to workout on it 5 to 6 days a week on this machine for about 30 to 45 a day. Had it for 3 weeks and researched it for about one month prior and pleased so far!

Been using this 3 or more days a week for 6 months now and it's still as solid as the day it was assembled. I did have to disassemble and grease the various moving parts at three months but that's to be expected. I used high quality automotive bearing grease and it has been silent ever since. Another plus - its NOT made in China like several of its competitors.Only complaint (and in my opinion not enough to deduct a star): For [$] the user interface and computer could be a little better. I actually don't even use the present programs anymore, they quickly became too easy but the 2 user defined programs still get the job done. Additionally, the heart rate control programs don't seem to work.Bottom line - if you want to spend this much on an elliptical, don't even bother looking elsewhere - just buy the Sole. The minor annoyances of the computer are greatly outweighed by the tank-like construction of the machine itself.NOTE: There are 20 levels of resistance, not 16 as stated.

I thought this was OK at first but after using the unit for three months it began to fall apart. I ordered parts from Sole and after waiting two weeks to arrive they sent the wrong parts. I am not happy with it and it was a mistake!

I researched for about four months before deciding to purchase this machine. Looked at the big department stores and in the small speicialty shops. Decided to purchase this without trying it. This machine is great. Quiet, smooth and fairly easy to assemble. After a month of use I am going to have to lube some of the joints but I expected that. My wife and I use it everyday. She found it hard at first due to long stride length but is now used to it.

I was able to assemble it myself in 1 1/2 hrs. They even included the tools you need with the parts - very classy. As you see from other reviewers, it's actually very nice, as smooth and durable as any machine you'd see in a gym. Very high quality.

I put this machine together myself in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. It's very sturdy, silent and very heavy!! The action is so smooth. I did a lot of research on ellipticals before I took the plunge, and I am totally happy with my purchase!!

I bought this product and found it to be just delightful. It doesn't sqeak like our old one, nor did the plastic foot covers break off. Overall I was very happy with this product, and I would suggest that everyone in need of a good workout should buy it.

Absolutely love this thing, use it almost every day. Knocked it one point on quality due to the complete uselessness of the fan. Everything else is top notch. Definitely worth the extra money, I know people who got cheaper ellipticals and gave up on them after just a few weeks. This thing feels like it will last FOREVER! Plan on 3-4 hours for assembly, and definitely have a couple people to help you. Although I appreciate them including the needed tools (very nice touch), a good socket set helps a lot. The workouts are TOUGH. After 2 weeks I'm just now moving past the minimum settings for 20 minutes.

This is a great machine for at home. The construction is solid, the mechanism is very smooth, and it is not noisy at all. Assembly was straight forward. The console interface is not very intuitive, so you'll have to read the manual to figure it out. The chest strap was missing, but Sole was very helpful in sending one out to me.
